Because some idiot cant do his or her job properly then it causes a whole lot of grief. The damage caused by someone who has a job of filling in pot holes taking it upon themselves to do an incomplete repair leaves on cyclist with a fractured elbow and a broken collarbone whilst another has a broken wrist in three places and another wrist incapacitated. Also the pot hole filler was respnsible for an ambulance and a paramedic being called to the scene. The pot hole filler was also responsible for the strain put on the local hospital and staff unnecessarily with both cyclists requiring scans, xrays, surgery and hospitalization.
All this because someone couldnt be arsed to to their job correctly. I expect they arent even aware of the trouble they have caused. Hopefully they dont fall down one of the pot holes they arerepairing in the near future. I for one would be happy to fill it in for them preferably with them still in it.
